James Walker, UK
Professor James Walker has extensive experience in high-risk obstetrics including pre-eclampsia and early pregnancy loss. He started working with women with recurrent miscarriage in the 1980’s developing are recurrent miscarriage clinic and investigations into a causation and treatment. He was involved in the early trials of hormonal support which he continues to this day. He Is now based in Leeds where he is the senior clinician in one of the largest the recurrent miscarriage services in the UK. He has developed holistic approach towards care with investigations into the potential cause of the problems and the supportive therapy which would benefit the woman. He was the inaugural President of the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust in the UK, the inaugural Chairman of the Association of Early Pregnancy Units and is an advisor to the Miscarriage Association.
He’s been the Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Leeds since 1994, was Senior Vice-President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is no the Clinical Director of Maternity Investigations within England.
